Frequently asked questions

Everything schools ask before they join.

Straight answers. If yours is not here, email hello@unbottled.co.uk and a person will reply.

Does Unbottled Online replace our existing PSHE programme?
No. Unbottled Online is designed to complement existing PSHE provision by strengthening high-risk and sensitive areas where additional expertise, structure and safeguarding-aware delivery can add value.
Is Unbottled Online just a video platform?
No. Expert-led video is one part of the lesson. Each unit combines video with guided staff delivery, ready-to-teach learning, activities, safeguarding framing and follow-up resources.
Does the teacher still deliver the lesson?
Yes. Unbottled Online brings the expert voice into the classroom, but the educator remains central to the learning. Staff use the system to introduce, pause, discuss, teach and continue the topic with their pupils.
How much planning is required?
Lessons are designed to be ready to teach. Staff should still familiarise themselves with the lesson, safeguarding considerations and the needs of their pupils before delivery, but they are not expected to build the learning from scratch.
How are sensitive topics safeguarded?
Safeguarding considerations are built into the delivery structure, including staff preparation, framing and guidance around sensitive discussion. Unbottled Online supports, rather than replaces, each setting's existing safeguarding policies and procedures.
Who appears in the content?
Unbottled works with people bringing relevant lived experience, real-world knowledge and professional expertise. Content is structured around the educational purpose of the lesson and appropriate delivery for young people.
Can we use Unbottled alongside another PSHE provider?
Yes. That is exactly how many schools may choose to use it. Unbottled Online focuses specifically on strengthening high-risk and sensitive topics rather than requiring schools to replace their entire existing PSHE provision.
Is Unbottled suitable for SEND, AP or PRU settings?
Unbottled works across different education settings, including SEND, AP and PRU. Suitability and delivery should always be considered in relation to the pupils, topic and needs of the individual setting.
Can Trusts access Unbottled across multiple schools?
Yes. Trust-wide options are available for organisations looking to create greater consistency and access across multiple schools.
What does it cost, and how do schools fund it?
Twelve pounds per pupil per year plus VAT in a school of a thousand pupils, which is £1,000 per month for the whole school on a twelve month term, everything included. Schools fund it from PSHE, Pupil Premium, enrichment, CPD, safeguarding and curriculum budgets.
What is included?
Every unit, both key stage versions, lesson resources, staff delivery guidance, safeguarding framing, parent and carer follow-up, and twenty teacher logins. Anything added during your term is included.
Is there a launch rate?
Yes. Schools on the waiting list get early access and the launch rate when the platform opens in January 2027.
